• Our decals are reverse-printed and will appear backward when received. This is completely normal.
• White toner provides a backing that allows the graphics to remain visible on light and dark-colored vehicles.
• Printed on high-quality decal paper with a blue backing, making it easier to identify and accurately cut out white graphics.
• Not every decal set includes headlights or taillights.

✂️ WATERSLIDE DECAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 — PREPARE YOUR SURFACE

Ensure your diecast vehicle's surface is completely clean and free of dust, dirt and oils.

STEP 2 — CUT OUT YOUR DECALS

Carefully cut around each graphic, staying as close to the design as possible.

Avoid cutting large squares or rectangles around your decals. Rounded edges and precise trimming will help minimize the appearance of excess clear decal film.

STEP 3 — PREPARE YOUR APPLICATION AREA

Apply water or a combination of water and a few drops of Micro Set to the vehicle's surface.

This helps position your decals and allows them to slide into place.

STEP 4 — SOAK YOUR DECALS

Place your cut-out decal into warm distilled water for approximately 20–30 seconds.

Soaking times may vary. Some decals may release after 10 seconds, while others may require additional time.

Once the decal begins moving freely on its backing paper, it's ready for application.

Avoid allowing the decal to separate completely from its backing paper while soaking.

STEP 5 — APPLY YOUR DECALS

Carefully remove the decal from the water.

Using your fingers, tweezers or a hobby knife, gently slide the decal from its backing paper onto your diecast vehicle.

Position the decal as desired.

STEP 6 — REMOVE EXCESS WATER

Once your decal is positioned correctly, gently remove excess water using a soft paintbrush, paper towel or cotton swab.

Be careful not to move or damage the decal.

STEP 7 — APPLY DECAL SOLVENT

Allow your decal to begin drying.

If necessary, apply Micro Sol to help soften the decal film and have it form to the casting shape.

These products help decals conform to curves, rivets and other surface details while minimizing the appearance of clear decal film.

STEP 8 — SEAL YOUR DECALS

Once your decals have dried completely, you may apply a compatible clear gloss coat.

A protective clear coat helps preserve your finished custom design.

⚠️ COMMON APPLICATION MISTAKES

❌ DECAL NOT CONFORMING TO DETAILS

If your decal isn't conforming to curves or other details, allow it to settle before carefully applying an appropriate decal-setting solution.

❌ USING COLD OR DIRTY WATER

Avoid cold water and water containing excessive minerals.

✅ FOR BEST RESULTS

Use clean, warm distilled water. Distilled water helps minimize mineral deposits and unwanted marks on your finished decals.
